I would guess the Chevrolet bias would be due to the fact it's an El Camino and SS booksurprise.Magazine articles just happen to be where new products thru the years are introduced to the world, so I find it fun reading how the El Camino was written about in it's day and how it progressed.Granted the pictures are black and white and color would be very nice but that aside there are a ton of very good pictures and information.No complaints from me, I love this book and enjoy reading it, and looking at the black and white pictures.. And his obvious and demonstrated talent as a novelist just didn't carry the day in this book.Child abuse is a difficult topic to write about but Carr's characters in "Surrender" don't deal with these horrors as forcefully as the plot might have allowed.Having said this, I'll continue to buy and read Carr's novels in the future.. I believe anyone (beginner or expert) could really enjoy this book and use it to expand their culinary horizons.I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.. And boy is there ever peril. Despite the somewhat impenetrable academic delivery, this book ultimately prevails as a very useful primer on the workings of environmental laws and the challenges faced by concerned citizens.
