This new paperback edition of Elliot Tiber's "stranger than fiction" memoir has a new Dedication in the front and features some very cool "Things I Kinda Remember from 1969" factoids (care of the author) in the French-folds of the front and back cover. As best as one can assume, Wood was somewhat asexual, though his attractions (especially to younger men as a caregiver or provider) are nicely handled by the author.Evans is a natural teacher and the inclusion of color plates of Wood's paintings make up the richest part of the book. Not a bad life for a guy who once hustled "Ever Retty" flashlight bulbs out of a canal boat in Thailand! Page's loyalty to his deceased colleagues is revealed in his accounts of his "high times" with Sean Flynn and Dana Stone and others who all either lost their lives or their hearts in Southeast Asia the list goes on and on, page after page.. (He does suggest one read Testosterone Dreams - my next stMore info to come as they develop.. Everyday is a challenge and I truly admire the few that I have been able to meet and learn from. I was actually experiencing some of the protagonist's cathartic revelations during the process of putting the book's story together. The children of those suffering from Alzheimer's are true warriors. Transitions is compassionate to the struggle of memory care and those involved in this fight. This should be out by the end of 2013. I hope those who read it receive the blessings of knowing they are not alone in this struggle and find some insight into the world of memory care for their loved one that Alzheimer's and Dementia has brought them into. I am still presently work in a memory care center and as the character of Earl, I am blessed to experience the day to day struggles and victories of thHis genres are purposefully varied so as to offer new approaches in his art.
